Love, Pride, and Looking Ahead

May 20, 2025

As the academic year comes to an end, each Jaguar carries with them beautiful memories and valuable lessons. Our students have embodied the true spirit of brave Jaguars: daring to think, to act, and never backing down from challenges.

For our youngest Jaguars, field trips, hands-on robotics classes, art lessons, and joyful playtimes have sparked excitement for learning and planted seeds of happiness along their journey of growing up.

Le Phan Chi Anh, a sweet, well-behaved, and hardworking Primary student, shared, “Every day I go to school, I feel so happy. I get to see my teachers and friends, and learn new and interesting things. I also practice reading, learn math, draw pictures, and perform. After one academic year, I feel braver and more confident. I hope to continue studying at Sydney School. In the next academic year, I wish the School would offer more Clubs for us to join.”

As she prepares to enter her final year of Primary, Phan Kha Han reflected, “When studying at Sydney School, I feel very happy because the teachers here are kind and lovely. They are always patient in explaining the lessons when I don’t understand. Every day, going to school is a joy, where I learn many new things. After one academic year at Sydney School, I feel that I’ve grown a lot – I study on my own and complete my assignments on time. Moreover, I’ve become more confident when speaking in front of the class. Lastly, I want to thank all the teachers who have taught me. I also hope that the School will welcome many new students into this happy big family.”

A spirited Jaguar, Lam Nhat Minh has proudly represented the School in District 3’s Sports Tournament and actively participated in many school events. He shared, “What makes me happy when studying at Sydney School is being surrounded by my friends and learning meaningful lessons. After one academic year, I feel that I’ve become more serious and make fewer mistakes. For the new academic year, my message is: be confident and focus on studying to have a better chance of getting higher scores.”

Tran Minh Vien Bach – one of the Secondary students achieved the highest scores in Math according to the PAIS assessment, and a Jaguar who actively demonstrates his strengths in both academic and athletic arenas – shared: “I believe that what made us so happy in Sydney Schools is that we studied in a modern and well-equipped school with the love and care from all the teachers. In addition, after a hard time of learning, we can enjoy a variety of ASAs, from Sports Day, Well-being Days to contests that help enhance our potential, such as TEDx SISS Youth. Therefore, for myself, going to school every day is a daily joy with my beloved teachers and friends.

An academic year is going to end like the blink of an eye, and I do feel myself much more mature: In studying activities, I have gained independence and creativity. For ASAs, I am able to practice patience as well as resilience and can show up my passions for sports activities as well as public speaking skills, and so on. From those, I have gained incredible maturity in communication and behavior, and also developed learning skills more effectively.

Next year, the academic year of 2025 – 2026 shall be the last year of our secondary years. I really expect that the School can assist us in having in-depth revisions for the examinations to go up to the new year levels with the highest achievements. Of course, we still wish to remain our enjoyment on more sports and outing activities, which can provide us with more energy to prepare for a new school year: more challenges but filled with happiness. And for sure, I wish I could continue to go to my beloved Sydney School at a higher level.”

These experiences throughout the year have nurtured our Jaguars’ happiness and love for school. Thanks to that, every flower in Sydney School’s garden of joy has a chance to bloom and shine in its own special way.
