From Sharing to Companionship
Standing at the threshold of their final year in Secondary, the Year 9 Jaguars carry with them aspirations for their future learning journey, along with the desire to create a year to remember with the big SISS family.
Summer has passed, making way for the pleasant breeze of autumn. Along the streets, eager footsteps of students head to school with dreams and aspirations to gain knowledge. For the Year 9 Jaguars at Sydney School, this academic year holds something more special, as the gateway to high school awaits them ahead.
For Nguyen Minh Khang, “Year 9 is an important year because it is not only part of the learning journey but also a preparation for the long-term future. I feel a bit unfamiliar but also very determined and enthusiastic as I begin this new academic year.” Meanwhile, Nguyen Dao Van Lam shared, “The new academic year has begun, and the lively, vibrant atmosphere at Sydney School makes me very excited. This is also the time for me to set clearer learning goals to prepare for a major turning point in my school life. I want to complete Year 9 with good results, as I see it as an important foundation for my next stage of study.”
Time is a true measure of growth. At this important milestone, each Jaguar actively sets personal goals and plans. They are not only growing physically and mentally but also becoming more mature in their thinking and perspective. As Tran Minh Vien Bach shared, “I am very happy to meet my teachers and friends again after the summer break and am ready to begin a new learning journey. My goal this year is to study hard so that I can be admitted to the high school of my dreams.”
Beyond academics, the students also aspire to become better versions of themselves by setting goals such as regular physical training, developing time management skills to balance learning and personal life, becoming more confident in communication, and learning how to collaborate effectively with friends.
Vien Bach, Minh Khang, and Van Lam all share the wish to actively participate in school activities to spread the passionate spirit of Jaguars nurtured with love and always accompanied by the Sydney School family. As Vien Bach shared, “With effort and determination, I believe I will overcome all challenges this academic year.”
