When Love Is Shared

August 28, 2025

In the academic year 2025 – 2026, the Community Fund “Build A Better Tomorrow” of Sydney School will join hands in sharing love with the highland communities through the project “Tay Bac: One Brick – A Million Dreams”.

Every brick used will make the shelters of children in the highlands more secure. Every bed provided will bring them a better night’s sleep. Every square meter built will create well-equipped classrooms that nurture a love for learning. Every paved road will support their steps to school amid countless challenges. Turning our hearts toward the Northwest – home to many ethnic minority communities – the Sydney School community will join hands in the project “Tay Bac: One Brick – A Million Dreams” through the Community Fund “Build A Better Tomorrow”.

Following the success of the past 2 years with the project “Yen Bai, For a Brighter Tomorrow”, the Community Fund continues to spread love to support highland communities through initiatives such as building dormitories, classrooms, and concrete roads. From surveys and on-site experiences, we understand that these areas face economic difficulties, limited living standards, challenging terrain, and a lack of infrastructure.

Yet, despite these hardships, the students here always wear bright smiles and carry a spirit of optimism. Every day, they walk to school with the determination to learn more, knowing that knowledge is the key to opening a brighter, wider world.

Through the project “Tay Bac: One Brick – A Million Dreams”, our Sydney School community will continue to nurture these students’ dreams. We are pleased to share with Parents the community projects for the academic year 2025 – 2026:

  • Project “Muong Nhe Dormitory”: Build a housing complex with dormitories, classrooms, a kitchen, and supporting facilities for 50 – 60 H’Mong high school students in Muong Nhe Village, Muong Nhe Commune, Muong Nhe District, Dien Bien Province.
  • Project “Huoi Thung Preschool Classroom”: Construct a combined classroom to provide learning and play opportunities for 30 – 35 preschool children in Huoi Thung 1 Village, Nacosa Commune, Nam Po District, Dien Bien Province.
  • Project “Nacosa 1 Road”: Build a road connecting Na Co Sa 1 Village to the main route, helping more than 400 residents and students of Nacosa Commune travel safely and conveniently, especially during the rainy season.
  • Project “Chieng An Primary and Secondary School” and Project “Hua Trai Primary and Secondary School”: Provide 50 bunk beds with integrated desks to improve living conditions for boarding students at Chieng An School (Nong Hoi Duoi Village, Chieng An Commune) and Hua Trai School (O Village, Hua Trai Commune) in Muong La District, Son La Province.

Throughout the academic year, we will stand together with the Northwest community through fundraising activities such as piggy banks, Spirit Days, and charity fairs. With the boundless love of the SISS community and the spirit of the academic year, “Stride with Heart – Lead with Grace”, we believe that together we will bring these community projects to life.
