House Captains Gen 2: Ready to Lead
Congratulations to our Jaguars who have officially become the House Captains and House Vice Captains of Gen 2. With this new milestone, each representative carries their own feelings and goals to bring more success and points to their House.
The House System has been implemented at Sydney School since the academic year 2022 – 2023, featuring four Houses inspired by iconic Greek symbols. Each House is led by a House Captain and a House Vice Captain – outstanding candidates elected by the student community in October. Not only do these roles provide opportunities for Jaguars to demonstrate their leadership skills, but they also serve as vital links connecting members within each House, fostering collaboration among Houses, and supporting the School in various events and activities.
When sharing their thoughts on taking on these leadership roles, our Jaguars couldn’t hide their excitement and pride. Let’s hear their inspiring messages!
For three consecutive years, Tran Gia Lac, House Captain of Apollo, proudly affirmed: “As the House Captain of Apollo, I want to help make our House more united and connected through fun and meaningful activities. I’ll do my best to listen and support everyone so we can all develop our strengths. I hope to spread positive energy and make our House a strong and vibrant team.”
Sharing about his preparation for the election, Tran Anh Khoa revealed: “First, I wrote down all the points I wanted to say in my notebook. Then, I practiced several times and made sure to set up a nice filming spot. After that, I turned on the camera and confidently shared everything I wanted to express for my House Captain campaign. I believe that when you pay attention to the smallest details, you’ll be ready to achieve greater things. Teachers and House of Apollo members, please believe in me!”
When asked about his feelings after being announced as the new House Captain of Zeus, Nguyen Anh Khoi shared with excitement: “I felt really happy and thankful for everyone’s trust in electing me as House Captain. I’ll do my best to fulfill my role this term and lead our House to achieve the best results this academic year.”
Nguyen Ngoc Thao Uyen, House Captain of Athena, also sent a heartfelt message to her team: “Wishing our House to always move forward with confidence and shine bright. Success is not only about the results but also about the journey we share and the efforts we make together. Let’s look forward to a memorable school year ahead!”

Each House carries its own unique spirit, but the School believes you will continue to uphold unity across the wider community, collaborate effectively with your peers, and help your Houses excel in the race for the year-end championship.
