Learning through experience

January 29, 2026

Jaguars kicked off 2026 in a vibrant way by taking part in a series of learn-and-play events. Each experience opened up engaging lessons, contributing to building knowledge and strengthening students’ confidence.

Science Fair – Jaguars became “science communicators”

By taking part in the “mini exhibition” Science Fair “Visionary Science”, Secondary Jaguars not only nurtured their passion for science but also boldly challenged themselves in various roles, such as activity facilitators and “science communicators” presenting their own projects. From preparing for the event, such as decorating booths, designing posters, and crafting scented candles as gifts for parents, to conducting experiments and presenting scientific projects, Jaguars turned every experience into an opportunity to learn, explore, and affirm themselves.

Through confident and expressive presentations explaining scientific ideas, along with skillful and enthusiastic experimental demonstrations, Jaguars truly shone in the eyes of parents and teachers – those impartial “advisors” who accompanied and witnessed the students’ growth in every activity.

The Science Fair, as an academic event, served as a vibrant learning space where Jaguars could enjoy the joy of scientific exploration, while also strengthening leadership qualities, expanding knowledge, and developing presentation skills. Through this experience, students gradually built a solid foundation to confidently continue their journey of knowledge ahead.

Australia Day – Jaguars joined the journey of exploring Australia

In celebration of Australia Day, SISS hosted “Australia Day – Discover and Connect”, guiding Jaguars on an exciting journey to explore the “land of kangaroos” through a wide range of dynamic activities, where students learned, experienced, and connected with the distinctive cultural features of Australia.

Beyond hands-on experiences, the event also created a meaningful networking space for Secondary Jaguars to connect with representatives from Australian universities. Through direct conversations and exchanges, students gained authentic insights into learning environments, academic programs, and career trends, gradually shaping long-term plans for their educational and personal development journeys.

Another highlight of the day was a series of engaging competitive challenges, including the Golden Bell Challenge featuring questions across diverse fields of knowledge, and the Australia Day Costume Awards, where students confidently showcased outfits reflecting their individuality and shared the stories behind each costume. Through these challenges, the Jaguars’ confidence, sharp thinking, and creativity gradually came to the fore.

Bringing the early-2026 activity series to a close, each experience at the Science Fair and Australia Day not only created memorable moments but also marked meaningful milestones in the Jaguars’ journey of growth.
