When learning becomes a place where minds blossom

The learning journey is a series of inspiring experiences that help Jaguars explore the world around them. To nurture these meaningful experiences, SISS applies the 5E model, where potential is unlocked, and minds blossom.

With its 5 key elements, “Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate”, the 5E model creates opportunities for each student to form their own “lens” through which to view the world, as they are encouraged to freely explore, experience, and gradually “draw” their own vivid learning journeys.

By applying the 5E model in teaching, each lesson at SISS goes beyond the delivery of knowledge and becomes a space where Jaguars can:

• Take initiative in learning by asking questions and viewing issues from multiple perspectives.
• Confidently try new approaches and learn from both successes and failures.
• Exchange ideas, listen, and respect one another’s opinions while working in teams.
• Reflect on their learning process, contemplate, and draw lessons for themselves.

When knowledge acquisition is rooted in understanding, students are not only able to retain lessons more effectively but also nurture confidence and the ability to apply knowledge in real-life contexts flexibly. As a result, each learning experience becomes an important stepping stone that supports Jaguars’ holistic development in thinking, skills, and emotions.

Through the 5E model, the classroom is no longer confined to the pages of textbooks but opens up opportunities for students to challenge themselves, learn, and grow. Each lesson becomes a journey of experience, where the seeds of knowledge are planted and gradually “bloom” on the inspiring learning ground at SISS.
