From small actions to great happiness
Through sharing with children in the remote mountainous regions of Northwest Vietnam via the Piggy Bank initiative, Jaguars have developed positive habits and nurtured meaningful values. Their journey of sharing love continues in this month’s Newsletter.
Nguyen Ngan Khanh and Nguyen Hoang Dang Khoa, representing Primary and Secondary Jaguars, shared their heartfelt journeys in taking part in the Piggy Bank initiative launched by the School at the beginning of the academic year 2025 – 2026. For them, as well as for the entire SISS community, this initiative is a small yet meaningful gift, carrying a powerful message of care and compassion for students within the main project “Tay Bac: One Brick – A Million Dreams”.

For Ngan Khanh, saving money in her piggy bank each day with joy, knowing that she is supporting children in mountainous areas. “This activity helps me build the habit of saving every day. Each time I put money into my piggy bank, I think about many difficulties that students in the highlands are still facing. I hope that even my small contributions can help give them the strength to go to school every day.”
Sharing a similar perspective, Dang Khoa expressed:
“When I learned that the money I save each day would be used to support those in need through the project “Tay Bac: One Brick – A Million Dreams”, I felt very happy and touched. Although my savings are not much, I hope that these small amounts will help ease the challenges faced by students in mountainous areas and give them better opportunities to continue their education.
That thought has helped me maintain the habit of saving every day. After watching videos about the difficult living conditions of students in remote areas, my classmates and I feel even more motivated to save. Sometimes, we are willing to give up our favorite snacks so we can contribute that money to our class fund.”
With this strong spirit of sharing, our lovely Jaguars have contributed 40,261,000 VND, helping to raise the total amount of the Community Fund “Build A Better Tomorrow” to 57,401,000 VND. During the piggy bank breaking days, the School felt incredibly proud to witness the students’ excitement, their applause, and the genuine happiness shining on their faces.

With the support of the SISS community, we hope that children in the Northwest will continue to stay motivated in their studies and strive toward a brighter future. Representing the Jaguars, Dang Khoa shared: “If I could send a message to students in mountainous areas, I would say: always try your best, stay strong in overcoming challenges, and believe in yourself. I hope that the small contributions we make will bring you joy, smiles, and the motivation to continue pursuing your dreams. Wishing you perseverance and success!”
The School would also like to sincerely thank parents for your continued support in this meaningful initiative. Through this journey, Jaguars not only develop positive habits and meaningful values but also gain a deeper understanding of their responsibility toward the community around them.
