An April Filled with Enthusiasm

April 28, 2025

From the memorable Final Round of TEDx SISS Youth 2025 and the joyful Field Trip to the meaningful Pink Day and the insightful Well-Being Workshop series, these colorful highlights came together to make April a fulfilling month for Jaguars.

A Fulfilling Final Chapter of TEDx SISS Youth 2025

On April 5, 2025, the Final Round of TEDx SISS Youth 2025 officially took place, marking the final chapter of a journey filled with memorable experiences.

Bringing uniquely personal presentations, the 9 finalists impressed the judges with their powerful speeches and meaningful messages about building a happy learning environment, improving health through technology, creating innovative school spaces, and cultivating individual resilience.

Beyond the competition, the contestants also inspired the Jaguars community through their journeys of building confidence, pushing boundaries, and growing with every round.

The Final Round concluded with proud applause from teachers, families, and friends, celebrating the brave participants and marking the successful conclusion of TEDx SISS Youth 2025 at Sydney School.

One-of-a-Kind Experiences at the Cu Chi Tunnels

In April, Secondary Jaguars had the opportunity to visit one of Vietnam’s historic underground military sites during their Field Trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels.

There, students got a glimpse of the heroic resistance era through engaging activities such as watching 3D documentaries, exploring the tunnel system, and experiencing wartime cuisine.

The trip not only sparked excitement for learning but also inspired students to explore more about the culture, history, and military heritage of Vietnam.

Spreading Kindness, Ending School Violence with Pink Day

With the theme “Jaguars Together, Kindness Forever”, Pink Day offered students a meaningful opportunity to raise awareness about school violence and unite in creating a safe, friendly, and happy learning environment.

Alongside engaging in creative and purposeful activities, students spread the message of anti-bullying by turning the School campus pink with their attire.

Notably, for every student wearing pink on Pink Day, Sydney School donated 10,000 VND to the Community Fund “Build A Better Tomorrow” in support of the main project “Yen Bai, For a Brighter Tomorrow” (Phase 2).

Learning to Care for Oneself Through the Well-being Workshops

Throughout April, Jaguars took part in a series of Well-being Workshops, engaging in meaningful discussions and practices focused on mental health and self-care.

Guided by their Personal Development, Health, and Physical Education (PDHPE) teacher, students explored their inner world, identified positive values, and cultivated admirable qualities to enrich their minds and live more balanced and fulfilling lives.

The Well-being Workshop is a meaningful initiative developed by the School based on the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program, designed to equip students with essential skills for holistic development and lasting happiness.

April may have come to an end, but the beautiful memories created by the Jaguars community will continue to inspire students to thrive and blossom in the final month of the academic year 2024 – 2025.
