Confidence Rises in a Happy Environment

April 20, 2025

Let’s hear Ms. Maria Clara Darilay Baguio’s sharing on how students build and strengthen their confidence while learning and growing in a happy school environment, as seen during the recent TEDx SISS Youth 2025.

This year marks the second run of TEDx SISS Youth at our school, and the growth from its inaugural year is truly remarkable. From the early stages of preparation to the students’ final presentations, every aspect showed significant improvement.

The moment students began signing up, it was clear – they were ready to take on the challenge of speaking before an audience and sharing their ideas with confidence. From drafting their speeches and committing to regular coaching sessions, to preparing compelling slide presentations, and building the courage to stand before a crowd, our Jaguars tackled every step with determination and heart.

This level of commitment reflects not only their eagerness to learn and grow, but also their pride in being part of one of the school’s most inspiring events: TEDx SISS Youth. Their improved delivery, sharper organization of ideas, and newfound confidence all prove how powerful platforms like this can be in helping students become better thinkers, communicators, and leaders.

It’s been amazing to see how much the students have grown after each consultation session. At first, many were shy and unsure about how to deliver their talk. But as time went on, they began to understand what TEDx SISS Youth is really about and connected more deeply with their chosen topics. With each session, their confidence grew. They started to speak up more, organize their thoughts better, and really own their message. By the end, they gave it their best, and it showed.

Like I always say, the moment you signed up for TEDx SISS Youth, you already took a brave step forward. Standing in front of a crowd and sharing your thoughts is no small thing, and you did it. Be proud of how far you’ve come. And keep going.

Your voice matters!
