Spreading kindness from the smallest moments
Kindness doesn’t always come from grand gestures – it often appears in the simplest, most ordinary moments. Let’s join our Jaguars in celebrating and practicing kindness through their everyday stories.
Giang Khai Nguyen, a Jaguar who is always seen with a bright smile, shared: “To me, kindness is not just a momentary action but a precious habit that each person should practice every day. I have practiced kindness through simple acts such as helping my friends when they get hurt, supporting my classmates during revision, or sharing with my friends when they feel sad after receiving low marks. Once, I convinced my parents to buy lottery tickets from an elderly woman by the roadside. When they bought the tickets without hesitation, I felt thrilled and proud that we could help her finish selling her tickets early that day and have some time to rest.

I realized that I am no longer a small, passive individual but someone who can create positive value for the world around me. That warm feeling has become a powerful motivation, encouraging me to keep learning and actively participate in volunteer activities. It is a simple yet profound joy, like the feeling of overcoming myself. I believe that when every student spreads kindness, together we can build a united, compassionate, and proud Sydney School community.”
Small actions can make a big difference. For Doan Phuong Uyen Nhi, an adorable young Jaguar, helping friends when they are in need, sharing school supplies, and politely greeting adults are things she truly enjoys. These simple acts help her gradually “nurture” joy and happiness within her own heart.

Similarly, an ever-smiling Jaguar – Lam Kien Tuong – shared: “In life, just one small act of kindness sometimes is enough to bring joy and gratitude to others. Even though it may seem insignificant in this vast world, the sincerity we give can truly touch someone’s heart.

During the past academic year, whenever a teammate made a mistake in group presentations, I was always ready to encourage and support them so they could feel more confident. When my classmates did not understand the lesson, I was happy to help so we could improve together. Each time, I felt truly joyful knowing that I had done something meaningful for others. Kindness does not come from talent, wealth, or perfection; it comes from a caring heart. I believe that even a small action can light up someone’s day and remind us that kindness is always present in this world.”
As Mark Twain once said, “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear, and the blind can see.” For every Jaguar, kindness is not only about the desire to help others but also about building a happy, healthy, and loving school community together.
