What do Jaguars say about the new journey?

After a summer, Jaguars are ready to come back to SISS with many emotions. Let’s listen to what they share!

As new members joining our happy school – SISS, Nguyen Minh Duc – Year 4 and Truong Vu Phuong Anh – Year 6 stepped into the academic year 2026 – 2027 with their own emotions.

Minh Duc shared: “I am a new student who transferred to Sydney School this academic year. Therefore, I couldn’t help but feel a little nervous and worried on my first day of school. At that time, I hesitantly walked through the school gate while curiously looking around. However, my shyness quickly disappeared when the teachers gently cared for me and guided me, while my classmates proactively started conversations and got to know me. The warmth of the teachers and my friends made me feel that I really wanted to stay and become part of this school.”

For Phuong Anh, this journey was even more special as she officially moved up to a new school level: “When I returned to school after an energetic summer, I felt very happy and excited. I was especially eager to study in a new environment, meet new friends, and begin exciting experiences in this academic year.”

Perhaps the beginning of a new academic year always brings students hope, inspiration, and anticipation for a promising journey ahead. Minh Duc and Phuong Anh are no exception. They have set new goals for themselves, ready to try things they have never experienced before; therefore, they can gradually shine through their own milestones.

Minh Duc hopes that this year, he will join a Club that matches his interests and exciting activities to connect more with his friends: “I will register for the VEX Robotics Club because it is one of my interests. I am very excited about the Makerspace, the robots, and the different types of equipment that the School has provided. I also believe that learning with my classmates and participating in connection activities will help me make more new friends and develop our skills together in the best way.”

Every goal they set is a stepping stone that brings them closer to becoming the best version of themselves. For Phuong Anh, this journey is a chance for her to continuously develop herself while nurturing her creative interests and gaining more new experiences with her friends: “This academic year, I hope to develop many new skills and become more confident and proactive. I will study hard to achieve the title of excellent student. Besides that, I also want to join the Experimental Arts Club and the Ceramics Club to develop my creativity, practice my skills, and gain more new experiences with my friends.”

Not only do Minh Duc and Phuong Anh have meaningful goals for themselves, but they also want to spread the spirit of leap forward and positive energy throughout the Jaguars community in the new year.

“As we enter the academic year 2026 – 2027, I wish myself and all my friends lots of energy and hope that we can keep our passion for creativity so that every day at school is filled with laughter and wonderful experiences.” – Minh Duc shared his wishes.

With the spirit of “The Leap Forward: Born to Leap – Build to Lead”, Phuong Anh sent the following message to Jaguars: “Don’t be afraid to start with small things, because every step forward we take today will create a better version of ourselves tomorrow.”

Just like Minh Duc and Phuong Anh, Jaguars who have become members of SISS for the first time are also gradually finding their rhythm in the happy learning environment and are ready to begin a new journey with goals of their own.
